Telekinetic Influence of Qi Energy on Living Systems
How Qi Energy Physically Affects Plant Growth and DNA
“In the present study, qi increased the rate of cellular growth and division hundreds of times.”
—Jinchuan Shen1
For a quick but tasty Monday post, we’re exploring the compelling results of a study conducted on a well known Waiqi Qigong practitioner by the name of Chulin Sun.
Also known as Madame Sun Chulin, she became famous in China for her reported ability to revive dead plants. While witnesses watched, she once held several fried peanuts in her hand until they grew sprouts.2
In another study, she generated a magnetic field strong enough to attract steel pins lying nearby.3
Other reported phenomena related to Chulin Sun include teleportation, passing one object through another, and bringing a cooked shrimp back to life(!).4
Her particular form of Qigong employs a technique that allows practitioners to mentally project Qi energy to influence physical systems.
In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Qi is the life force of which everything in the cosmos is made. In addition, the flow of Qi energy in the body determines the health or illness of the human organism.
Zhiyi Liu, Jinchuan Shen, and several other scientists conducted various studies on Chulin Sun over the course of nearly two decades.
One such study investigated whether Chulin Sun’s mentally projected Qi energy could make seeds grow faster and change their DNA.

The Qigong Seed Study
Due to their stable genetics, Shen and team chose wheat and pea seeds for the study. This allowed for a more accurate measure of any changes in DNA caused by Qi energy.5
The researchers placed 20 wheat or pea seeds in a small dish with some water. Chulin Sun then focused her mind to project qi energy onto these seeds for at least 20 minutes.
To serve as a control, another set of 20 seeds was placed in a dish with water but didn’t receive any qi energy. Instead, these seeds were left to germinate naturally in an incubator.
To make a fair comparison, the control seeds were allowed to grow for a week at 23°C (about 73°F) until their shoots and roots were a good length. Then, their growth was slowed down at 9°C (about 48°F) to match the timing of the qi-treated seeds.
After just 20 minutes of qi exposure, the wheat and pea seeds sprouted and grew roots and shoots several centimeters long. This is incredibly fast. Normally, seeds take days to reach this stage.
The seeds without qi treatment took a full week at 23°C to grow to the same length as the qi-treated seeds did in 20 minutes.
The authors of the study concluded this rapid growth was “impossible under normal rules of growth and development,” suggesting qi energy somehow supercharged the seeds’ growth process.
They noted that qi seemed to increase the rate of cell division hundreds of times faster than normal. They believe the cells produced a lot of energy quickly to support this fast growth.6
Right-Hand Torsion for Speeding Up the Flow of Life Processes
Based on the Odic (subtle) energy research of Baron Karl von Reichenbach and the torsion research of Nikolai Kozyrev, I propose that the Qi energy projected by Chulin Sun is associated with right-hand torsion (although there is indeed a left-hand torsion variety of Qi energy as well).
This right-hand torsion is essentially identical to the Yang aspect of external Qi.
Such rapid development of seedlings is almost certainly due to the presence of right-hand torsion (or Negative Od in Reichenbach’s framework), which is associated with forward-in-time movement and the speeding up of the flow of time.
The seeds grew more quickly, at least in part, because biological time for them was flowing much more quickly than for the control group.
The flow of time, in this view, appears to be a regulatory function in biological systems. When the flow of time speeds up, so do all life processes, including decay and death. The life cycle in such cases appears to be literally sped up.
As such, it would have been interesting if the experimenters had studied the long-term effects of Chulin Sun’s emitted Qi energy on the seeds. What might have happened were it possible for Chulin Sun to emit Qi energy into the seeds 24/7 for several weeks?
Plant DNA Results
To see if qi changed the seeds’ DNA, Shen and team used a technique called Random Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD) to spot differences in DNA.
They extracted DNA from both qi-treated and control seeds using a process involving phenol and chloroform to purify the DNA.
Then they tested the DNA with 11 special “primers” (short pieces of DNA that help copy specific parts of the genome).
They amplified the DNA and ran it through a gel to separate the pieces by size, creating a pattern of bands that shows the DNA’s structure.
They then compared the band patterns between qi-treated and control seeds to see if there were differences, which would suggest changes in the DNA.
For wheat seeds, 7 out of the 11 primers showed differences in DNA bands (i.e., polymorphisms). For pea seeds, 5 primers showed polymorphisms.
These differences suggest that (the right-hand torsion version of) qi energy may have changed the DNA related to germination, making the seeds sprout faster.
The researchers think qi could have altered specific parts of the DNA that control how seeds start growing, speeding up the process.
Torsion Waves and DNA’s Design
From a torsion perspective, it could be said that these findings were the result of right-hand torsion directly (i.e., resonantly) interfacing with the double helix geometry of plant DNA via its own similarly twisted, spiraling waveform, thereby speeding up the flow of time within the seeds’ genetic architecture.
It is very likely that DNA’s double helix spiral arises as a result of direct interaction with torsion fields of various types, making DNA function as an antenna for torsion-information-flows both locally and nonlocally.
If this assessment is correct, because DNA takes its shape from its relationship to torsion energy, any Qi (torsion) energy emitted will tend to directly interact (via resonance) with the DNA of any living systems with which it interacts.
